NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL REVIEW OF ROADSIDE SIGNAGE POLICY

Following last summer’s hiatus regarding roadside advertising, Northumberland County Council did review its policy. This review is now complete and can be found at http://www.northumberland.gov.uk/default.aspx?page=13407 

The Council is seeking comments on the review by June 22nd. I have had a look at the document and responded. It did appear to seek to achieve a balance between the needs of rural businesses, road safety and protecting the landscape, which is a step in the right direction. However, the proof will be in the implementation.
